STEM Annual Conference 2012 - UK HEA
Website providing links to the various sections of the proceedings of the conference held from 12-13 April 2012 in London. Key themes included Innovative practice in STEM learning and teaching, mathematics and statistics in an interdisciplinary context, teaching and assessing large classes and assessment and feedback.

CUBEnet - National Forum on Education in the Biomedical Sciences
Flyer detailing the event held in December 2011 in Canberra entitled "Ahead of the game, Biomedical science education into the 21st century". Hosted by the national network on biomedical teaching at universities, CUBEnet.

1st Australian Geoscience Teaching Workshop - Program

Engaging staff om quality learning and teaching: What's a Pro Vice Chencellor to do? - Prof Alex Radloff

Maths on your bioscience course - A Student Short Guide produced by UK HEA
"This guide aims to give you an overview of the benefits and uses of maths on your bioscience course and is full of hints and tips from bioscience students on how to approach and get the most out of the maths on your bioscience course" (quoted from the document). The UK Higher Education Academy has many such resources. This one is just a taste. (Please note, the link is to a page within the UK HEA website, but the described document is easy to find.)

"New Media for Science" Community of Practice Powerpoint
A presentation prepared for the Australian Council of Deans of Science (ACDS) on the growing use of assignments in science that have students creating videos, podcasts, wikis, and blogs to build their professional abilities and deepen their insight on content.  The ‘New Media for Science’ project was funded by the ALTC for 2009-2011.

The National HE STEM programme (UK)
"Enabling the HE sector to engage with schools, enhance curricula, support graduates and develop the workforce". This program has hundreds of projects and resources realating to a variety of disciplines.

Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, & Learning (CIRTL)
This flyer provides information on the mission, change model, strategy, pillars and network development of CIRTL.  CIRTL represents a network of US universities fostering the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

UK HEA (Higher Education Academy) - Change Academy proposal form
The HEA's Change Academy provides training for academics working in teams to implement projects to enhance student learning, similar to SaMnet’s aims. More details can also be found at the Change Academy website.
